Bill doesn’t seem to get that it is advertising which keeps radio stations on the air, no one will pay for air time when Ron Reagan or Jim Hightower are talking.

I predicted last year that Free Republic would be targeted and I was called a wacko.

They certainly do. I dare the people here who said it would not matter and they just could not bring themselves to vote for a Republican or for McCain to come here now and tell us how great it was going to be with the dems in charge!

Thank you for posting that link - I’ve been wanting to see it ever since I heard about the exchange.

I love Megyn Kelly - she doesn’t pull punches. I would have liked to hear them get into the whole NPR thing though. And you’re right - it is getting scary.

I’m currently reading a book about the rise of Nazi Germany and the messianic fervor that Hitler seemed to enjoy despite the monstrous things he did even early on, and the mentality found among the Germans is eerily similar to what we see for Obama (although the book, being 15 yrs old, hardly seeks to compare the two).

The premise is that the Germans operated out of stark fear over a terrible economy, extremely high inflation and job losses, and desired a savior. And once they had him, they didn’t want to let go of the idea of him, hence their willingness to excuse or actively support his behavior.

I don’t think we’re anywhere near 1933 Germany as a country in that I don’t think Obama would ever be able to pull off such wide-sweeping control of the masses, but it’s a chilling read nonetheless.
