Doesn’t TX have soem unique republic features that could allow it to leave this increasingly corrupt union now run by Baby Mugabe-Chavez?

Texas has plenty of oil, nat gas and electricity generation. Is their produce type farming? Texas could be it’s own self sufficient country.

The Federal govt and court system is totally corrupt.

That’s right. We are a republic.

We WERE a Republic until annexation and statehood in 1845.

Yes, Frantzie, there were two provisions included in the annexation agreement of 1845: that Texas kept its public lands and that Texas reserved the right to break into five separate states.

Many scholars argue that secession during the Civil War and readmission nullified the first annexation agreement. I, personally, don’t know.

I do recall that during the Arab oil embargo and gas rationing in 1973, there was talk of separate states to increase our voice in Congress.

Wouldn’t that be interesting — 10 Senators from Texas?

You bet! We've got lots of stuff here!
Texas Department of Agriculture
The fact that Texas, the country's second-largest farm state...
Snip...TDA certifies a host of Texas grown crops including grains (wheat, corn, and rice); beans (soybeans, mungbeans, pintos, and many other peas and beans); sesame; fruits (blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, citrus, peaches, plums, apples, melons); nuts (pecans, peanuts); vegetables; herbs; aloe vera; mushrooms, sprouts, and wildflower and grass seeds.
In 2003, TDA implemented certification for production and processing of livestock including beef, pork, poultry and dairy. Livestock standards can also be applied to exotic game and aquaculture.

Texas Fruit Growers Association
lists almost 30 grown in the State.

Somehow methinks that the current regimes disregard for the constitution and common decency would also preclude it from honoring any ancient agreements with texas.

No, that’s a myth. The Texas constitution has some provisions about it... and there are supposed to be some words in the agreement to join that we could break up into 5 states, but in practicality we have every right, but no more ability than any other state, to seceded.

You know, I had been thinking that the fact that the nullification states were geographically disparate was a problem, but it might be a benefit - Makes it hard for the fedgov to crack down on all at once.

Be it known, I’m not advocating secession, just something to push back, get some pressure, get some clout against this voracious beast in washington.
