It began earlier. Remember when Obama talked to the cabal in San Francisco and told them he wanted to bankrupt the coal industry?
News got out fast.

It actually rebounded to around 10,000 the day after the election. But has been testing bottoms ever since.

The "crash" officially began when Obama won the Democratic Nomination
The Obama nomination and especially the Obama election were the nails on the coffin of the economy.
But, the economy started dying earlier, much earlier. The mortgage crisis took a long time to build up and it started with the Community Reinvestment Act under Carter and made even worse under Clinton.
Then there is the constant talking down of the economy under Bush and during the election cycle. People don't make investments and don't start businesses when the people responsible for overseeing economic policy and growth are doing and saying things that are counterproductive to economic growth. But, that was the intent of the democrats, and economic growth during the Bush years was hurtful to their political futures.
Every step of the way, whether in good economic times or slow times, the democrats made sure that the people only heard the bad news or that the good news was painted in a bad light.
The economy is in dire straits mostly as a result of bad economic policy from the democrats, and straight out lies from the democrats.

Hey, if it turns out the Mutt is not a U.S. citizen and therefore a fraudulent president, do I get my money back from losses due to the Obama Market?
