Meanwhile, our adversaries are freaking out at the prospect that they will not have potent adversaries allowing them to defend their own stupid Economy and its premises.
That was my first reaction, that this must be a clever satire which somebody put together. But the text of the speech is on-line at the Wall Street Journal, and I consider it highly unlikely that the WSJ would be taken in by a fake.
I read the complete speech, and have to admit that I was impressed. Putin appears to have a much better grasp of the situation than Obama or McCain or Bush. Which tells you how pathetic our leadership is in the United States.

This is all moving way too fast for me.
Splitting the USSA into 5 states would probably only be good. There’s a chance that one might actually consider governing by the US Constitution. I hope the state I end up in doesn’t keep Congress, though.
We spread so much wealth around the world, when our economy tanks so will theirs, which is happening. To the “gurus” that were always hyping the Eurocommies being so wonderful, ENJOY!!
Now back to work forming neighborhood groups listing our strengths and weaknesses preparing to maintain a smidgeon of sanity in a world gone mad, and we can do it too, real Americans will prevail...
When 40 years ago Nikita K. declared that “We’ll bury you!”, the statement made front page headlines. Putin’s statement will make it to page 13B, if we’re lucky. Unfortunately, they did bury us in marxism’s acolytes everywhere in the media and the academia, because that’s what old Nikita meant in the first place. Putty a Marxist? Are you kidding me? All the Marxists are in the West.
