Renters and current mortgage borrowers bail out deadbeats. That’s real change.

I don’t even see how you would work a plan that forced lenders to reduce payments to a percentage of income.

I think would be called "reverse liar loans".

"Liar loan" was the inductry term for "stated income loans". You didn't have to prove your income, just state what it was. People overstated and got bigger loans than they could afford. (No big deal, prices were rising so fast, they could cash out at a nice profit before getting caught in a bind.)

Now, these same people will be hiding cash income (or grandma's check) that was supposed to help pay the mortgage.

Obviously Obama plans to get to socialism by a progressive pricing scheme whereby the government will subsidize low income people with taxes from. achievers. This way a poor person will pay say 10 dollars for the same good or service a wealthy person has to pay 100. I look for him to move this type program to all aspects of the economy.

The last news I heard about THAT restructuring was that more than 50% of the people who took it were in trouble again.

Well DUH! If your credit is shot, why would you want to pay your mortgage and risk getting cut out of future mortgage help?

They're not gonna get near that amount. YOu forget bureaucratic 'touch/taste' (as in Chicago style). This is just an excuse to piss cash money down the hole to a few "refi organizers" and then to pass on a tax credit to the homeowner that real TAXPAYERS will have to pay. So, in effect it isn't a $75B whammy, it's much much more than that.

BTW, a real TAXPAYER does not get back more $ than he paid in. EIC'ers, AFDC'ers, SSI'ers, SCHIP'ers, and so on.

Here’s the Ten Point Program of the Black Panther Party. It looks like Obama’s to do list in his first 100 days of office.

The Ten Point Program
We want power to determine the destiny of our black and oppressed communities’ education that teaches us our true history and our role in the present day society.

We want completely free health care for all black and oppressed people.

We want an immediate end to police brutality and murder of black people, other people of color, all oppressed people inside the United States.

We want an immediate end to all wars of aggression. We want full employment for our people.

We want an end to the robbery by the capitalists of our Black Community.

We want decent housing, fit for the shelter of human beings.

We want decent education for our people that exposes the true nature of this decadent American society.

We want freedom for all black and oppressed people now held in U. S. Federal, state, county, city and military prisons and jails.

We want trials by a jury of peers for all persons charged with so-called crimes.

We want land, bread, housing, education, clothing, justice, peace and people’s community control of modern technology.

I read on another forum where a poster suggested we bring a “bad faith” or “negligence” lawsuit against congress due to the fact that none of them actually read the stimulus package, thus “signing a contract” on our behalf without exercising due care of knowing what was in it....I wonder if there would be any merit in that, either?

I think your idea has alot of merit and I would be open to adding my name to that Class Action suit. I am from AZ where BHO is currently talking out of both sides of his mouth and I heard a story on our local news today about how stimulus money would be spent to “upgrade” schools here. They focused on two separate ones, both in bad shape, needing alot of remodeling, etc. One school is in a poor district and the other is in a middle-class area...the bottom line at the end of the story was that the “middle-class” school would not receive any of the stimulus money, because the stipulation for the Federal $ is for “poor” neighborhoods only. The middle-class will not exist by the time this yahoo leaves office (hopefully soon!).

Non delinquent homeowners must demand “Equal protection under the law.” One group of citizens can’t be given preference over others.

Oh, sorry, I forgot about affirmative action.

Unfortunately, what was not included in these bailouts, porkulus bills is a REQUIREMENT for two courses for everyone receiving financial help. One in money management and the second in ETHICS for all those leeching off of the taxpayer. Many of the citizens of the US have become nothing but leeches and blood suckers. (Don't get me started on the illegals or my laptop will melt!)

What is to guarantee that those who receive this help are not going to find themselves in dire economic straits again? NADA! So how often do we bail out ordinary people or companies for that matter? How many more times, how much more money, how often can GM come to the taxpayer. I am so disgusted with this as to be absolutely livid. Laptop is starting to sizzle.

Stepping back to view the big picture...

Marxist Obama (and BFF Bill Ayers) do not like us having private property.

They prefer the masses to be tenants in government-owned props.

Such, I strongly suspect, will be the fine-print-strings within the "foreclosure prevention" paperwork.

.

I spoke with a friend in the mortgage 'crisis' stage, his bank called him last night to tell him nothing would happen for at least 90 days. During that time they offered to discount his payments (to be added back into the principal) for that period and then start to evaluate him to see if he'd qualify for any sort of (undefined) adjustment.

He's walking out on the first.

The more I learn about barry’s admin. the more I appreciate being laid off last month.

I’m not contributing tax $ since my wife’s salary is very small.

Seriously, he should enjoy the place rent free until they evict and show PROOF that they hold the paper on the house.

That could take months or YEARS. Meanwhile, he saves a ton of money.

What is amazing about this prez is that I simply cannot look at a picture of him as president and actually see him as president. It is not a conscious thing. I still see him as a “candidate” that has no chance of winning. Weird.

I didn’t see Clinton or Carter that way.

And no, it is not his race. It is him in particular.

I simply cannot take the guy seriously, even though I know his actions will have serious consequences on me and others.

Maybe this is the definition of “denial”. I don’t know.
