Just like when Obama referred to Palin in his “putting lipstick on a pig”. The only difference is that dems always get a free pass in such situations and scream bloody murder when it happens to them.

You bring up great points - and I thought those comparisons were horrendous, unfair, thoroughly disrespectful, etc..
I assure you that Obama will NEVER EVER EVER get a pass from me due to his race. I will criticize his policies relentlessly if I think they are bad for the country - and so far he is batting 1.000 in that department.
I don’t think I’m coddling anyone. I just feel that this was indeed a back-handed way to link a chimp and the President...which I find disrespectful. Also, the undereducated masses think POTUS wrote the bill - so they’ll make the link quickly as well. I’m not saying they’re right - just that the link will be made.
And THAT leads me to another issue I have with the cartoon - it will, whether you like it or not, perpetuate the MYTH that conservatives are racist...which is horse crap. I find it quite the opposite, actually.
Well look - I hear what you’re all saying. And I think you get where I’m coming from. Cool. We agree to disagree. That is one reason that makes this country great.
