I would have taken the opportunity to excommunicate her, and possibly perform an exorcism...

I dunno the pope does not do PR.
I get the idea she was just a woman in the audience meeting the pope,i do not believe they had a 15min private meeting with him,but blinky will blow it out of all proportions.

Pelosi will issue an encyclical later in the day affirming the primacy of her own views on this and any other subject.

Nevermind, it came from a thread last night. In summary, “If the Pope is hearing your confession, and he says recite 30 hail mary’s or go to hell, I suggest you not cheat. He might be speaking ex cathedra. What you bind on earth...”

Perhaps he told Pelosi to go to hell.

Nanci Pelosi:

"How many divisions does the Pope have, anyway?

Uncle Joe Stalin always wanted to know."

Much like the krintons when Mother Teresa berated them for their support of abortion on her one and only visit to the White House.

Perhaps he told Pelosi to go to hell.

I am sure satan has a nice warm spot for her.

Not for me to acribe. he may, he may have not.

My opinion is not the Pope’s, or I would be pope. You see?

Now, if I actually WERE the pope...I would have burned her at the stake, the moment she set foot in vatican city.

He can legally do that - the Pope is the last absolute monarch in Europe.

The next few years will be interesting.

Pelosi was sent, don't believe otherwise. The real question is what was the message she delivered? We know about the global warming pitch, but what else?

And what did the Pope say to her? We see much speculation, but since the American bishops refuse to enforce anything what will BXVI do now?

Remember, many Catholics (and Christians) are only ethnically/culturally so. They see no problem being Catholic/Christian and pro infanticide. If the Pope (or any other denomination) came down hard, they will either ignore him or split. That may have been the message.

They are liberals first, putting their faith aside. But the defense of life is within reason and common sense. They don’t understand the issue.

Exactly. Being a Liberal (or Progressive now) is their first recourse. Being a Catholic or Lutheran is only a little bit of flavor. Seen this in some of my own extended family.

What I think is coming is an open schism, with possible legal persecution. The liberals do not like being called what they are, and will ruthlessly silence any dissent once they are in power. So far 0bambi is following the script to a T. If the pro Moloch crowd gets publicly excommunicated, they will retaliate with all they can muster.

Pelosi also does not understand Catholic teaching. The moral prohibition of abortion is based on natural law, reason, and common sense. EVERYONE is capable of understanding the issue on rational grounds. She can’t claim that she is abstaining from “imposing her faith” on non-Catholic Americans. The Church does not teach that it is an obscure theological mystery or article of faith to acknowledge that an unborn baby is a human being with rights. LIBERALS and secular humanists claim that because they do not understand Catholic moral teachings and natural law ethics. The pagan Hippocratic Oath prohibited abortion. It’s not an exclusively Catholic idea or moral conclusion.

Ha Ha Ha. I would like to see “Catholics” like her excommunicated, or at the least refused communion.

Anything less than public ex-communication means the Pope, in essence, looked the other way. Makes me glad I abandoned the Church of Rome.

And REAL Catholics do care!

Bravo, Pope Benedict!
