(Ping to the two people I know who have a Wisconsin/Upper Mid-west Ping List - for a possible “Pro-Capitalism” protest opportunity in Chicago if people are up for a short drive... Does anyone know who holds the Chicago and Illinois ping lists?)

I propose they hold the Chicago Tea Party on July 4th... (although I would think the sooner the better)

We could all meet at Rush Street Beach in the late afternoon with either a package of tea bags each, or heck - bring your own ICE TEA/SUN TEA (better for the environment)!

Then after the peaceful protest on the beach, we could all march over to Buckingham Fountain, and the Taste of Chicago to view the Fireworks (which actually are I think, visible from the beach, too!).

Does anyone know if someone is seriously already putting this together? I would be ecstatic if the answer to that question is really, YES! :) If not, perhaps us FReepers could make it a reality!

Or July 9 — a day between Independence Day and Bastille Day. That might make a statement, too.

We need to start thinking about legal flash mobs and the such. Wouldn't be something if something was organized in every major city in America at the same time on the same day? Can you imagine 2000 car horns blowing for 1 minute in front of the federal building in whatever city? And then the cars disappearing? Imagine the buzz that would cause. Or all futures traders calling sick for a day?

We’re not going to have money for gasoline by July, and we’ll all be living in our cars by then, so we won’t be going anywhere. Interstate travel will most likely be banned by that time, too, with checkpoints at all state borders.

Don’t underestimate how quickly this Administration will be implementing its plans for us! ;)
