Picture of 100ft-long 'snake' sparks fears of mythical monster in Borneo
By Richard Shears
According to legend, the Nabau was a terrifying snake more than 100ft in length and with a dragon's head and seven nostrils.
But now local villagers living along the Baleh river in Borneo believe the mythical creature has returned after this photo of a gigantic snake swimming along the remote waterways has emerged.
The picture, taken by a member of a disaster team monitoring flood regions by helicopter, has sparked a huge debate about whether the photos are genuine or merely the work of photo-editing software.

Looks photoshopped to me.
Well, if they found the carcas of one this large ‘The 45ft long monster - named Titanoboa - was so big that it lived on a diet of crocodiles and giant turtles, squeezing them to death and devouring them whole.” it would stand to reason there are others as large or larger.
Makes me think of the basilisk from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
Off the screen and into the jungle.
Cannot possilby be real..that photo shows a "creature" about 350 feet long and 20 feet wide. Puh-leeze!
When I went through JEST training in the Philippines, we saw a monster snake that we guessed was longer than 30 ft. I can't imagine a 100ft snake. It would have the diameter of a city sewer pipe.
If that’s a thousand-foot snake, then that’s a hundred-foot-long snake head sticking completely out of the water making no ripples.
Does it taste like chicken?
Yeah, it's real. It had seven nostrils... yeah seven. That's the ticket. It had fire coming out them too... yeah fire, REAL fire.
The picture above was taken in 1959 by a Belgium helicopter pilot, Col. Remy Van Lierde, while on patrol over the congo. The snake he saw measured approximately 40 to 50 feet in length, dark brown/green with a white belly. It had triangle shaped jaws and a head about 3 ft x 2 ft. Experts have analyzed the pictures and have verified them as authentic. They also have verified the size of the creature by matching ground features to the snake. As the helicopter flew in lower the snake raised up 10 feet and looked as if it would strike at the helicopter if they flew any closer.
Let's eat!
Looks like Nessie, to me. Wonder how it gets from Borneo to Scotland. Any ideas?
Maybe it’s the sub Hitler escaped in?
Thulsa Doom has returned!
“Thulsa Doom has returned!”
And was elected President!
I think I see the image of Obama in there!
It’s a miracle!
