I don’t see it as racist or anti-Obama, just kind of dumb and tasteless. The poor person who got torn up by the chimp doesn’t deserve having her misfortune used as a characature. But hey, it’s the Post.
Yes, I agree. I’d add I don’t think it’s particularly funny, either (NOT because “it’s offensive”). My husband told me about it (I didn’t know the hubbub) and I couldn’t get the connection Sharpton was making to Obama. Nor do I to Congress. It’s not real good and obvious, so to me it’s not even very funny.
