INSIDE WASHINGTON: Democrats hit ethics pothole

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Obama administration and the new Congress are rapidly giving Republicans the same "culture of corruption" issue that Democrats used so effectively against the GOP before coming to power.

Democrats' ethical issues are popping up at a dizzying pace, after less than two months of party control of both the White House and Congress. Freshman Sen. Roland Burris, D-Ill. is only the latest embarrassment.

D.C. Council member and former Mayor Marion Barry-

1990- arrested in a sting operation for crack cocaine use and possession.
2002, U.S. Park Police find crack cocaine and pot in Barry’s Jaguar.
2005-tested positive for marijuana and cocaine use.
2006-sentenced to three years probation for misdemeanor charges of failing to pay federal and local taxes
2009-prosecutors filed a motion in federal court to revoke Barry’s probation for not filing his 2007 taxes which violated his probation.

Obama’s COS Rahm Emanuel lived rent-free for years in the home of Rep. Rosa De Lauro (D-Conn.) - and failed to disclose the gift, as congressional ethics rules mandate.

Both parties are equally corrupt.Just one side receives more media coverage than the other...That’s the only difference

I hear ya, both definitely have ethically challenged party members .. Pubs do seem to get a lot more of the mainstream media’s attention, ya have to dig deep to find the dirt on Dems.. unless you hang out here. ;-)

I can't wait for Obama to ask us all to “contribute” alittle more in the way of “new revenue” increases. My response will be "Get the money from the tax cheats in your cabinet first".

Agreed. I should like to have them all thrown in jail or executed for their crimes... then we can get some more in office... and if they need it, we throw them in jail or execute them for their crimes... repeat until politicians respect justice.
