I know someone who is a professional scuba diver. He worked for a while in a marine park, cleaning the dolphin tanks.

Those cute, sweet little dolphins used to beat the snot out of him by ramming into him, (almost causing a blackout) and then swim away “laughing”.

Just my thoughts, but I think some people are emotionally retarded and incapable of normal human relationships. With animals, it's easier to control the relationship.

With chimps, lions, tigers and other predators, the relationship changes when the animals get big enough to become dominant. I don't have any personal experience with chimps, but I know that monkeys view their owners as their mates. I knew of one female monkey that bonded with her owner and after she went through puberty she started attacking his wife. They had to get rid of her.
