Considering how anti-2nd Amendment he is, the irony is considerable.
And, philosophically, and by the recitation of facts, Mr. Snyder steps through time and hands Mr. Holder his head.
It's well worth the read, even after all these years.
Too long to read all now, but:
“when confronted with the threat of lethal violence, we should not resist, but simply give the attacker what he wants.”
This drives me absolutely bonkers. Honestly, I don’t care if you have a firearm or NOT; being a coward is not doing anyone any favors - except the crook.
Consider how low we’ve become as a society, that criminals routinely will kill you regardless of your resistance OR how much value you gave them. Doing everything he wanted didn’t buy you diddly, did it? All you got was your face torn off while sniveling.
Dying like a coward, rather than at least dying with honor. And indeed, fighting back may do more than that. It may save yourself, your property, bystanders, and the next target.
Actually, Holder may be on to something here - Too many Americans do seem to capitulate whenever someone claims racism and give in to those using the racism claim in order to avoid lawsuits or being branded a racist. That is cowardice.
Thank you so much for posting this.
Thank you for posting. Excellent article.
An oldie but a great piece.
One of the first articles I ever read on the internet.
Bump to print and disseminate to fellow gunsmiths tomorrow.
