You have raised two questions that after reading this article in the daily newspaper of the Eighth Congressional District
must appear to the 21st Century political machine entrepreneur as quaint. You asked...
do you believe entrepreneurship could actually exist without ability to finance business ? Can a factory invest into expanding without financing it somehow ?
Good, basic, firmly rooted, capitalistic common sense questions is how I think of them. But, the system has been changing as this news story so matter-of-factly reports.
According to the February 18th article “...Humanistic Robotics Inc. is building a device to make a dangerous job - clearing land mines - safer and, with $2 million in federal funding, the startup company is planting its flag in Bucks County...” and the democrat congreesperson was instrumental in the $2Mil deal.
Are we entering an era that governmental disbursment of the tax-payer’s money is to be readily accepted as part of the efficient allocation of available capital?
And wouldn’t such an era be a marker to delineate the end of the free market capitalism that powered our Nation to prominence? Wouldn’t such an era be described as Fascist?
“And wouldnt such an era be a marker to delineate the end of the free market capitalism that powered our Nation to prominence? Wouldnt such an era be described as Fascist?”
It would. Nazis were VERY good at controlling everything by making the government a ‘partner’ you had to answer to. This must not be allowed.
I guess my question is whether they got a government *grant* to do this, OR, is the goverment holding a stake in the company. My guess is it’s a grant. Those are two different things. Then is just government spending, wasteful or not.
