"Actually, we ought to bring all manufacturing back on our own shores and eliminate the overseas goods"

Agreed. Or at least I would agree that we should bring manufacturing back. Bringing back ALL manufacturing is not possible, due to logistics and resources.

However, in order to do that, you have to eliminate three things: 1. The EPA. 2. Unions. 3. Tort Law.

I should also add that in order to eliminate the three things above, you would first need to eliminate Democrat politicians from the Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches of the US Government.

You would also need to create actual free trade, so that the US can become a net exporter again, and to ensure that US consumers can get stuff that we can't produce here.

Well, I’m one for erecting trade barriers and not allowing free trade, when it comes to keeping manufacturing here in our country and getting it back again. I think we can do quite well providing for our own manufacturing and simply buying raw materials elsewhere, where it’s needed. It’s much better for our security, too.
