Looks like the MN legislature is joining the rest of the crowd in filing 10th Amendment memorandum/legislation. This one looks pretty weak compared to others, but coming from Minnesota... they may as well have fired ICBM's at DC.
The Language of HF 997, the Minnesota resolution on sovereignty:
A concurrent resolution to affirm Minnesota's sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States and to urge the federal government to halt its practice of imposing mandates upon the states for purposes not enumerated by the Constitution of the United States.
Whereas, The Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States reads as follows: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people"; and Whereas, The Tenth Amendment defines the total scope of federal power as being that specifically granted by the Constitution of the United States and no more; and Whereas, The scope of power defined by the Tenth Amendment means that the federal government was created by the states specifically to be an agent of the states; and Whereas, Today, in 2009, the states are demonstrably treated as agents of the federal government; and Whereas, Many federal mandates are directly in violation of the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States;
and Whereas, The United States Supreme Court has ruled in New York v. United States, 112 S. Ct. 2408 (1992), that Congress may not simply commandeer the legislative and regulatory processes of the states;
and Whereas, A number of proposals from previous administrations and some now pending from the present administration and from Congress may further violate the Constitution of the United States; now, therefore,
be it Resolved by the House of Representatives (the Senate concurring), That we hereby affirm Minnesota's sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over all powers not otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal government by the Constitution of the United States. We also urge the federal government to halt its practice of imposing mandates upon the states for purposes not enumerated by the Constitution of the United States; and be it further Resolved, That copies of this resolution be transmitted to the Office of the President of the United States, the President of the United States Senate, the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, and the members of the Minnesota congressional delegation.

Another state. That’s great.
I've had a sh!tload of reservations on my upcoming relocation there... this gives me a wee bit more confidence on that decision...
That doesn’t bode well for Al Frankenstein.
How about Garrison Keillor?
Har! Well done Dead Corpse. Good to see them at least headed in the right direction.
Know all about it... Moving from a very blue state to another very blue state!
Just gearing up for the coming revolution! Got a Gulch setup with a couple of sections of backyard woods up north... as far from the urban regions as one can get...
Ya'll going to have a Regional FReeper convention out that way soon?
I'll try to show up.
(In, but not of, the Twin Cities.)
Cheers!
Great news!
WOW! Hope indeed. Southern Minnesota here. I have not yet been here two years. Most people are reasonable. but then I live in a rural area. I double dog dare DC to take our guns!
Where is the covention?
Sure! When are you coming up here?
I would be happy to help you out in anyway I can. What general area will you be at?
That was my question! I see a few regions are gearing up for get togethers, such as in Texas, and I was asking if Mn. FReepers were doing the same... hopefully one will be put together by you fine folks out there.
We live in a small town. Less then 10,000. I have never been a community organizer. To busy working, don’t ya know. How?
We have set up our Galt's Gulch in the N.E. area of Mn. about two hundred miles northeast of the Twin Cities... WAY out there!
Guess the first thing I'll be looking for will be Twins and Viking gear! LOL! Changing one's allegiance shouldn't be too hard... especially when I'll be leaving behind Mariners and Seahawk teams!!!
Organizing FReeper events isn’t that hard, just very time consuming! From our perch, we would have to organize using smoke signals... LOL! Isolation DOES have it’s drawbacks!
LOL, if we go to my BIL’s we will have smoke signals as well. But that is the plan. He lives in the country. we have food, ammo, fuel, water etc. We are not going down w/o a fight.
I know that NE Mn. “area” well. I do a lot of fishing up there. I am north of the Twin Cities.
