I thought it was funny the year “Brokeback” was up for the Oscar. The gay activists praised the courage of the Hollywood community for making a love story about homosexual men.
Then, when “Crash” won the Oscar for best picture, those same gay activists said that the Academy members lost their guts in not voting for “Brokeback” for best picture. The activists attributed their fears to the climate of fear created by the Bush administration.
Presumeably in the open tolerant liberal Obama administration, it’s ok to have a gay movie win an Oscar. We’ll find out.
