You clearly have never worked in election administration.
There are always minor discrepancies in elections because they are run by humans. It usually doesn't matter, because the margin of victory is typically larger than any potential discrepancy.
The problem in this case is that the vote is so close and the number of ballots cast is so large that human error may decide the outcome.
Simply put, it is virtually impossible to have an election without human error affecting the results - at least in a slight way.

No I haven’t. But I do not think elections should be decided by human error. In the last few years we have had this problem with the 2000 election in Florida, the Washington State governor election, and now this senate election.
My point was that we need a better electoral system where elections are Not Decided By Human Error.

George W. has done serious damage to the Republican Party and to the free market economy.Did you sign up here so you could bash George Bush?
That's not bashing George Bush, that's the unvarnished truth.............and I respect and like George Bush.
Let's not pretend like libtards, the politicians we support are without fault.

I have never pretended that George Bush was faultless because that would have made him the second coming of Jesus Christ but he is an honorable man who did a fine job in difficult times and he deserves our respect not our commendation.
