So if I'm reading this right, the "polluters" can continue "polluting" the planet as long as they pay the U.S. Government to do it? This is very reminiscent of the "big tobacco" scam. "Secondhand smoke" is supposedly killing people but it's okay to continue killing them as long as you pay a tax to the government to cover the costs of Communist healthcare.

NASA has already said that is too late to simply stop CO2 emissions and reverse it, but we must stop them anyway so it won’t kill us all earlier.
So we freeze, starve or roast until some will survive, or we pig out and wait for the grim reaper.
