Clinton urges China: Don't stop investing in us
She says U.S. debt necessary to get consumers buying Chinese goods
BEIJING - U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton urged China on Sunday to continue investing in United States Treasury bonds and says that country's continued investment in the U.S. is a recognition that the two countries depend on each other.
She said during an interview with the show "One on One" during her stop in China Sunday that she thinks the Chinese are making a smart decision by continuing to invest in U.S. financial instruments. "It's a safe investment. The United States has a well-deserved financial reputation."
In order to boost the economy, the U.S has to incur more debt, she said. "It would not be in China's interest if we were unable to get our economy moving," Clinton said. "So by continuing to support American Treasury instruments, the Chinese are recognizing our interconnection.
We are truly going to rise or fall together. We are in the same boat.

At this rate well be lucky if the DOW is not below 6000, assuming there is any business activity at all. This president makes Carter seem pretty good...boy could be use another Reagon!

Curious comments, seeing as how it it's been Congressional Democrats who've worked to undermine our military, our economy, and our very way of life...just because they are not in charge.
It's Hillary and her Democrats who've been poking holes in the "boat" just because the Captain was a Republican.

Imagine if Rush could afford it at the time, and bought treasurys when some were paying as much as 15% for 30 years, the demands’’ for something to be done would be a sight to behold. (He could say that o’bama is sending a check every 6 months to buy his cigars with.)
