Actually, George Washington believed he was born on February 11, 1731.

I grew up in the 50’s and 60’s (Thank God!!!) George Washington was born in 1732, not 1731. The GW quarter dollar coin was introduced in 1932 as a tribute to his 200th birthday. I’ve always thought his portrait on our $1 bill resembles my late maternal grandmother.
