While there are some similarities, Hitler had a war-weary, and un-armed populace to shape and/or beat into submission. Today there is a very large, well-educated, well-armed, and highly motivated/patriotic segment of the American populace who will not let Obama achieve anything near what Hitler did, and may nip such ambitions, if they exist, in the bud.

Additionally, while there may be equally zealous citizens championing Obama's "Change," and a few misguided law "enforcement" elements that may unwittingly try to enforce such change, unlike 1930s Germany, the combat-hardened American military will side with We The People, not self-serving politicians in Washington.
