By the way, I recommend that everyone contact their Governor, and their state legislators about this. It would be good to let them know they should refuse any funds that come with unfunded mandates that will cause state taxes to rise after 2 years. The welfare and unemployment extensions in the Spendulus package are funded by the Feds for two years, but to get the funds, the states have to permanently change the eligibility requirements. So, after the two years, the states are still on the hook for more money, but the Feds aren't paying (yet).
