"Let’s see: When there is infrastructure done in YOUR state it “was long overdue”; but, if it’s done someone else’s state, “it’s pork !”

Forgot about this whiny trollish part. You see, I believe in the 10th Amendment. It is not there to serve as a place-mark to distinguish 11 from 9 or vice versa. There are certain spending guidelines that should be followed as well as, division of powers on who exactly is responsible for what. Also, several creators, one being James Madison even wrote instructions on the "contract".

What kind of infrastructure are you talking about anyway Obama/dem/Specter/lover of current Maine senators, whore (From justifying the $3 trillion of not just "infrastructure" you fricking idiot)? You actually think this will stimulate the economy while not ushering in deflation or inflation and huge tax increases? Is your ire only reserved for the "bankers", who ever was ruining the show from 2001-2008 (Which was not just one person) and not for the house flippers, the people living beyond their means, the feel good hit of low income individuals owning more home then they should and the people who blocked reform?

Rollo,I sense you have become a legend - in your own mind; so I’ll leave you to your self-admiration.

Don’t forget to wipe up afterwards.

You engage in ignorant arguments (Which others have pointed out by the way) then you evade, oh the paltry subterfuge.

Do you even understand what the 10th Amendment is and the danger (Well too late now, been that way for long time) of States becoming addicted to Federal funds? Do you realize the strings attached to this madness that came out less then 1 month?

Don't forget the mortgage bailout, the market sure loved that one as well. All less than one month, hey, even the White House critters say they have done more in one month. No administration has produced do much in the history of the US in ONE month. Kind of makes your original point mute.

Do you not understand what happens when governments can write checks they are incapable of bankrolling?

Do you not understand this current crisis was started by the government in the first place?

Do you not understand the $3 trillion (I will say at least $10 trill. since it won't be repaid) is not a stimulus? Have you read the 1,000+ pages and realize most if not all is pork?

And do you not understand how the dems, with Obama being the lead Pied Piper, have already CREATED the current atmosphere of you better not invest, in fact stuff your mattresses, it's time to go to war against the small business owner who do not patronage the reprobates in government?

And do you not understand how hypocritical dems are, especially at not paying taxes but expect everyone else to put their own “skin in the game” (Of course just the producers, the parasites don't need skin, just vote for the reprobates).

Good grief, me and the other posters opinion of you still remains, I am afraid. Of course it could be all BS which I hope, I enjoy a good rise now and then.

Sorry, was laughing at the CNN guest.

Rollo, how does anyone know you are not one of those seeking to drive the market down so you can pick up some premium stocks at a bargain ?

One would have to be pretty naive not to realize such agitator/speculators are out there !

Looking you up, all I can see is the usual well-warranted distress over Trenton politics/administration/education -with special focus on Douglas Palmer, whom I assume is “somebody” in Mercer County’s corrupt politics.

Is there some reason I should be impressed ?

Are you,

What does the perpetual corrupt government of New Jersey have to do with this? Is that where you reside? Don't frequent the NE that much so I don't what it's like to live as a serf being nickled and dimed by corrupt public tyrants. Who you all keep reelecting for some reason, if you are from there of course. My location, corruption is getting worse thanks to the blue hairs importing the stuff from the NE and the electorate being snookered. People just don't want to govern themselves I guess.

Dems policies are driving the market down. How does the free market grow when policies demand more capital from the producers? Did you listen/read all the trillions of $$$ promises? Who will pay, assuming Obama/dems are seriously looking to flex their muscles? Of course there are certain markets that will create a bubble, (Use your brain to figure that one out) but careful, one can only subsidize so much before results are required. Don't want a repeat of the internet bubble do we now.

By the way, got out of the market last year and have no desire to get back in the near future. The dem's direction is one of dependence not growth. Just riding this correction/destruction out while laughing at the idiots who think the ones who caused the problems in the first place can fix it. Now go lobby $30 million for protecting more mice, the fate of the economy rest with pork and central planning. Yeee-Haw, welcome to Utopia where all you have to do is give up your liberty.

By the way, do you support Obama/dems policies? Just asking because you are awfully defensive thinking my goal is to short the market or discourage confidence. Don't worry, dems/some repubs know what they are doing, not only are they getting greased and inspiring destruction, but they are hoping to expand their power base by setting up a long-lasting patronage system (Of course to help their loved-ones and self-interests at the expense of freedom).

Then I guess this isn’t you:

My bad. There are a lot of people using this “LA Confidential” character’s name.

To answer some of your questions: I have no special agenda-beyond making it to my 76th birthday-but wonder about people who are so politically wound up - on one side or the other-they are willing to prolong a recession in order to get their point across.

I also wonder about people who want everyone to march in lockstep with them. ( I’ve run across a few who actually get pretty threatening if you disagree with their agenda.)

And, yes: I am from the (corrupt) state of NJ.

No problem, I can understand your frustration. I am still a young person who is just looking at the future and the future of my kids beyond my time here, of course you need help right now. My dad is around your age and of most of his hard work/savings/retirement went up in smoke last year.

I apologize for my irrational remarks ("freaking idiot", I get too heated on occasion, lost money as well last year) a lot of frustration from all sides.

No problem !

I know what you mean about the market. My wife left some phone stock that was worth about 16K when she died 2 years ago,and is now worth MAYBE 13K. Meanwhile, the cost of living goes up-up-up.

Ah, but what the hell : Any day you wake up without a shovelful of dirt in your face ....you’re ahead of the game !
