Sen. John McCain was concerned about his former rival's plan to buy a new fleet of Marine One helicopters that will cost $11.2 billion, an amount that is over-budget.
Obama responds (via AP): Obama said the helicopter he has now seems adequate, adding that he never had a helicopter before and "maybe I've been deprived and I didn't know it."

Someone should inform his highness that he still doesn’t own a helicopter. The helicopter belongs to the people of these United States and we graciously loaned it to him until we remove him from office.

And there, sir or madam, you have eloquently summed up the difference between a conservative and a liberal.

Card posted here on FR years ago during the anti-French sentiments, defending France, and the French.
Anyways, he was your typical low watt Massachusetts Republican. Nice guy, knew which fork to use, wouldn’t piss off a Dem if his life depended upon it.

Um, wasnt it the Bush administration that ordered the helicopters? Why yes, and at the time, we Evil People impolitely brought up the fact that even then it was slated to cost 3 times what the border wall would cost.....the wall they said was way too expensive.
But times have changed! Now it's a mere drop in the bucket compared to bank bailouts and overstimulated packages.
And the border wall never did get finished, thanks to Gee Dub...

And didn’t John the McCain vote for it?
To: Free ThinkerNY
McCain is no friend of the military.
He has been a roadblock on more procurements than the Democrats.

Honestly, would McCain be complaining if he were President? I don’t have a problem questioning this ... but people are going to rightfully question if McCain is just bitter. He should not be the one asking this question.

And didnt John the McCain vote for it? I honestly don't remember. Did he?

I think this goes back to their meeting in Chicago, where a strategy was formed- military cuts backed by “surge” mccain would give them more cred.
EVERYTHING is orchestrated.

It does have a slightly pathetic air to it, coming from McCain.
“Hey, why are you getting new helicopters? Those should be MY new helicopters!”
They should have had someone else ask the question.

Heard about this in a complaint from someone or other, that the purchase order was in for 28 new helos for the president's wing. Seems the Marines aren't happy with this allocation of assets....and money and want it cut to a more reasonable 16.
We can be sure that our Feckless Leader will overrule that and get his fiscally irresponsible expenditure at the Marine's expense.
RHIP.....so go figure.
