Remember how many cars were sporting Florio Free In '93 bumper stickers...
Another “Life’s Lottery” bitch.
Let’s hope Jindal Nukes Obama’s a** in the Republican response. The GOP better get on the stick and stop playing by “nice” rules, because the Dems are determined to bring us all down to the level of poor starving masses, while they live it up on top.
How he only lost by 1% in 1993 is beyond me.
You’re right. These elitist Leftists like Obama are so separated from the average person. The only “poor” they seem to care about are those who are their voting slaves: the minorities & illegals.
We clear-eyed conservatives have always felt like taxpayers are the target of the Leftists like Obama. We weren't fooled by his misty rhetoric. He doesn't care a lick for the hard-working taxpayer, just wants their money.
And AOL commie news runs this story at this hour: “Are you an unwitting tax cheat?”
These big government Bolsheviks have a ton of nerve.
“We have to accept, sort of blindly, the notion that we have to do this for the sake of the nation. “
That quote gets to me.
It’s a matter of blind faith that bailing out irresponsible people will somehow help us all, versus the common sense notion that those who behaved irresponsibly should not be rewarded for it.
[a Bethesda, Md., resident who describes herself as a liberal Democrat who has been hardworking, prudent and responsible and now feels like a fool.]
Too bad I have to pay for your foolishness moron! All Americans are going to pay for it!
I’m not so sure about that. I have two BIL who are home builders. They voted Obama and believe the “simulus” is good. This is unreal. I tell them that sure, GWB may have “doubled the deficit in 8 years”. However, Obama has tripled it in 3 weeks, with no end in sight. This is scary, angering stuff for many Americans.
Zer0 is the alcoholic. Congress is merely the enabler, in this case the enthusiastic enabler.
By the time 1993 rolled around the Republican legislature and Senate had rolled back his tax increases, and the voters had nearly four years to forget how bad he was. And Christie Todd Witless was hardly what you would call an impressive candidate.
In defense of your BILs, they are in a business that completely collapsed under the previous administration. Today, their prospects are poor under even the most optimistic scenario.
