In 19 months and 1 day, the slaughter of the innocents begins! Another high-point in the Democrat Peace Process. Remember how them killing fields were filled so quickly when they forced us to abandon Vietnam? You ain’t seen nuthin’ yet.

Will 19 months allow all equipment to be removed or will vast amounts of stuff be left behind?

19 months is a long time and much can happen. Having spent a year there things seldom go as planned. For the sake of all who served and died there, I truely hope that this does not get screwed up. Because if it does there will be alot of very unhappy people.

I tend to look at this a different way- If there is a lasting peace, the credit will certainly go to George W. Bush and the outstanding efforts of our military. If things go bad quickly, the blame will fall squarely on Obama for leaving too soon.

Now, I wouldn't expect the media to take this view, but they are pretty much known liars.

As for me, I certainly hope that the efforts we made, and will still make for the next 19 months will be enough to sustain peace there for a while.

For any Democrat to try to take credit for a stable and peaceful Iraq will take a leap of logic that most people will not accept.

Telling the enemy when you are leaving - what could possibly go wrong with that strategy? [30 April 1975, Viet Nam]

WANNA BET????
You’ll notice that the DAILY SOLDIER DEATH TOTALS that we have been seeing EVERY SINGLE DAY since the War On Terror began have disappeared from your nightly news shows??

MSNBC/NBC hsn’t updated the totals of soldiers killed SINCE NOVEMBER 4. Imagine that. They no longer matter now that we have a DEMOCRAT in charge.

Not even OLBERMANN care how many soldiers get killed now.

CHANGE!!!

FOX News:

The plan would leave a interim force of between 30,000 and 50,000 to advise and train Iraqi security forces and to provide intelligence and surveillance. They would have to be out by 2011. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly.

The withdrawal would fall three months short of one of Obama’s central campaign pledges to remove U.S. troops in 16 months.

A senior White House official says Obama is at least a day away from a final decision.

Currently 142,000 U.S. troops are in Iraq.
