Thank you! Some people on here don’t understand his speech is going after the undecides not giving Conservatives red meat and he started off just fine — actually pointing out he was BORN in the USA!
Jindal sounds much better on CNN then on Fox. Fox is messing with the signal. He is much better on CNN and I liked him before.
Don’t let anyone tell you that its best days are behind you. My kind of guy — optimism which is missing on this thread! American spirit has triumped over almost everything. We are Americans.

I think the people who attack people Jindal or Palin tend to be holier than thou people who lives in the past. Also they tend to be either DU trolls or third party trolls.
This is his speaking style. His content is very good, he is very intelligent, but the delivery could be better. But he is a very good conservative.
That was my first thoughts. He sounds like he's talking to children. Of course, we must consider the target audience. The average voter these days has the IQ of a lamp.
On substance Jindal did a good job. On presentation, however, not so good.
Not too many people do. He could be the best speech deliverer (notice I didn't say speaker, his extemporaneous skills are weak) since Hitler.
How much do want to bet that Jindal will be Saturday Night Live's big target this week?
I like what Jindal is saying, I’m just not sold on the way he goes about saying it. I guess I’m guilty of hoping the next Ronald Reagan will surface. Someone who captivates me with his conservative countenance and conviction.
He is getting in some pretty tough attacks on the Dems. This is good. I am tired of the “work together” talk, especially when it comes from our side.
They could have selected a random freeper to give a more inspiring rebuttal. What weak tea.

Everyone has to remember, the response speaker is at a distinct disadvantage. He’s not speaking to an auditorium with repeated applause and reactions from a crowd. It’s strictly informational rather than dramatic.
Just gotta keep it in perspective. If Jindal were speaking to a responsive crowd, he would’ve sounded much more impressive.
Jindal has time to work on his delivery. This is a preliminary warmup (redundant I know).
I agree, he sounds horrible. It’s like he’s going to break into duck-duck-goose any moment.
Bingo! Some of the comments about Jindal were way off the mark although he sounded a lot better on CNN then on Fox.
I have seen Bobby speak in person and on TV and this was Bobby at his worse.
I agree Governor Jindal does not have Governor Palin’s charisma but he seems very honest and authentic.

Why is it that we never repeat what we did when Kristine Whitman gave her rebuttal from the NJ State Assembly? Say what you will about her, but having her there with her party cheering like football fans at the Super Bowl was masterful. Why have we never done that again? Presentation is important — we might look down upon it, but let’s face it, that’s ENTIRELY why Zero is where he is in the first place.

Sadly, I agree. I’ve never heard Jindal speak, but he didn’t seem too presidential to me. I agree with most of what he said, but his delivery made him seem like a milquetoast to me.

Go move then! Chances of you supporting a Republican with those comments is slim to none. If you had watched on anything other then Fox, you would have heard a better presentation. Fox messed up his delivery.
We still haven’t learned from the Obama ‘08 experience, much less from Reagan’s term. Charisma, presence, the ability to communicate matters greatly. This is really quite pathetic.

exactly. We are a bit more educated and know bigger words than the average talk by texting american. It seemed simplistic to us, but to obamabots looking for something to jump on, he gave them nothing but rainbows and sunshine. Will be tough to attack him for this.
Yes. Happily, Stokely Hussein Obongo has exhausted his diarrhea of the mouth.
I like the guy because of his actions in the aggregate. I could less about how good he is at BS. That said, I don’t like his attitude here. No attacks. Obama is weak and very few opportunities will be had before such a wide audience. I think a great opportunity for constructive aggressive criticism was lost.
