***It remains to be seen if Governor Palin will recover enough in four years to be able to win the general. But certainly she’ll be recovered in eight.****

Thats the sentiment shared by John Zeigler, producer of the DVD, HOW OBAMA GOT ELECTED. I think Palin should take his advice.

Perhaps, but when did we become slaves to the media? And when I say WE I mean conservatives.

We have got to stop pushing this leftist notion of style over substance. I don't give a rip how Palin did with Couric or Gibson because I know she wouldn't get a fair shake anyway. What I do care about is her substance- what she stands for, what her conservative record is, and what her vision for America is. How well she 'comes off' in an interview is not important.

I think it is because they deal with businessmen and lobbyists, few of whom can deliver a speech either, and who kind of look down on those people who can, as “unserious.” But mainly I think it is because they can’t look at recordings of their own speeches and hear and see what is wrong. It is “ I am who I am, take me or leave me “ kind of thing. And they surround themselves with flunkies who won’t tell the emperor he has no clothes.

You are so sadly misinformed. Which socialist that you know proposed eliminating all taxes on manufacturing? That cosponsored the Fair Tax? That has been as aggressive as anyone in DC the last 25 years in proposing tax cuts? That proposed ELIMINATING the Dept of Ed., the DOE, and other sundry bureaucracies? How about slashing OSHA and the EPA to the bone? He was Drill baby Drill 25 years before it was popular in repubbie ranks.

If Hunter is a socialist, then the GOP are rank communists in comparison.

Knew you would bring up Romney. They have elected officials give the rebuttal. In case you didn’t know this is not a political stage for a has been candidate that LOST. Only elected officials. Sorry to burst the Romney bubble. Wonder how many other Romney people are on here trashing Jindal.

It's up to the GOP to get it's act together.

Letting the enemy (open primaries, the media, RINO GOP leadership) choose the GOP candidate is what did them in.

If they fix that and get behind a good conservative candidate from the git go there will be no split ticket.

I heard Sarah speak in person. To a crowd of 20,000 in our rinky-dink little town.

I'll grant you that for one reason or another she does seem to resonate with people in rural and semi-rural settings.

And you know what? Liberals are trolling this thread to get the exact SAME ‘conservative’ talking points to trash her with too, which is likely where they got the idea that Palin sank McCain.

Love how you continue to attack conservatives

Well, considering that I was attacking McCain in the post to which you replied...are you implying that McCain is a conservative?

except the surrender monkey Ron Paul and give Zero a pass.

Not true. I have plenty of posts praising Mark Sanford and Jim DeMint, as well as Michele Bachmann. In fact, furthermore, and for the record, I openly and unabashedly support both Sanford's and DeMint's shared goals of limited government and conservatism, going so far as to say that I will happily vote for whichever one of the two runs in 2012.

You got that college term paper to finish before you start attacking Zero right? Freshman paper?

You misread my post to you last night. It was a mid-term exam in a calculus-based probability course, numbered in the 300 level. Hardly a "freshman" course.

I would take the likes of someone like Jindal or Palin over a disruptor like yourself anytime.

I'm not a disruptor; I'm a deeply disgruntled "right-leaning freedom lover" in his early twenties who's pissed because the supposed defenders of the Constitution, limited government, and the individual's rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness got into power for over six years and did nothing.

Hell you are still wet behind the ears and probably not even old enough to drink legally.

I'm twenty-three, which is definitively greater than or equal to the minimum legal age to purchase and consume alcoholic beverages in the commonwealth of Virginia, as well as elsewhere in the Union and throughout the world.

But, wet behind the ears, you say? You're right. I'm not experienced in covering my eyes and yelling out "nah, nah, nah" at the hypocrisy of my own side...something that I'm not so sure I can say holds true for you.

I wonder why they didn’t ask another governor to give the GOP response....say.....Sarah Palin?

I think it was a good idea to introduce the country to Jindal. Everyone already knows about Palin. I think the more conservatives speaking about conservative ideas is a more effective strategy.

No minds will be changed with any speech given tonight. Gov Jindal struck just the right tone at this juncture.

Absolutely correct about his choice to give a standing delivery without a podium. It no doubt contributed to his odd sing-song cadence. It sucks they were ripping him so bad on Fox, but we needed a solid base hit and he grounded out. The RNC response should have been given by Steele or hell, just show the Santelli video on YouTube.

I like Jindal and don’t have a problem with what he said. I thought it sounded good. He showed strong family and American values. I don’t really think it is that big of a deal. It was good to get Jindal face time. People have seen Palin a lot in the last year or so. I think Jindal brings good things to the table.
