Bobby would have sounded stronger if he were seated this time. He ran out of steam and struggled for air a couple times during the presentation. Probably because he was standing up... without the benefit of having a podium to lean on. It’s natural to get tired when attempting this. As someone who does a lot of sales presentations, let me tell you I’m at my best when seated or at a podium.

He can easily build up his endurance through exercise, and it will help him speak while standing without a podium. The decision not to provide a podium in such an important setting is bizarre to say the least. Michael Steele, please don’t let this happen again.

I have seen Bobby speak in person and he can be much better. He typically is much looser and will walk the room. Of course he cannot walk the room without a live audience.

He started out looking very scared and very stiff and talking like he was in a hurry. And yes, he should have been in a chair or at a podium.

My guess that he he felt rushed since Obama went overtime leaving Jindal to start at 10:15 EST.

Absolutely correct about his choice to give a standing delivery without a podium. It no doubt contributed to his odd sing-song cadence. It sucks they were ripping him so bad on Fox, but we needed a solid base hit and he grounded out. The RNC response should have been given by Steele or hell, just show the Santelli video on YouTube.
