Nanaimo students will wear pink today, along with tens of thousands of British Columbians, to show they will not tolerate bullying.
As part of a provincewide campaign, Wednesday has been recognized as a day to don pink to deliver the anti-bullying message.
The protest started after an incident at a Nova Scotia school in September 2007, when a Grade 9 high school boy was harassed, called a homosexual and threatened after wearing a pink polo shirt on his first day of classes.

There are the descendants of Vietnam war draft dodgers, who, through excessive dope smoking and excessive tofu munching, gave birth to generation of fags. They were probably still born normal, except they were genetically "weak", and because of nanny state, whiney, "it's ok for little boys to play with dolls and dress up in mommys clothes" and forced tofu meat free diet kind of parenting, turned their offspring into fags.
Not to mention not being able to safely tie your shoes in public anywhere in the West End (emphasis on "end")

It's all pretty typical - protect the guilty while instilling a victim mentality and dependence on others for help (e.g. Government). There are effective ways of dealing with bullies without physical violence - wearing pink is not on that list.

The point is two-fold.
1] Does the treatment stop macular degeneration in men?
2] Does no one question why the subject were just women? Women are the new “gold standard”. No one seems to care that science becomes tainted.

Bullies in public schools, like rapists in prisons, serve a sanctioned purpose: they induce a sense of helplessness, of frustration, of impotence, that keeps misfits in their places. Another argument for home schooling.

One day I was walking down a hallway after classes were over, and this bully walked up alongside of me and started harassing me again. I was already in a bad mood, and when he pushed me, I unleashed holy hell on him.
When they pulled me off, he was the one crying, not me.
He never bothered me again after that.
We didn’t have to wear pink to handle bullys when I was in school. Our knuckles were a little red at times though.

Great succinct post ! I’d go further - it’s another argument for closing down the public schools.
These institutions have become the chief means of erosion of the American Republic, and of its replacement by the American State.

When my son was in Jr. High he was little. He came home and told me that there was this really big guy who grabbed little guys in the hall and hit them and wanted to know what he should do if the guy bothered him. I said, “Thump him.”
My son told me that if he did that he could get suspended or get detention and I told him that he had to make the choice himself.
It wasn’t long before the guy confronted my son and without a thought my son started hitting, he gave the guy a bloody nose, a fat lip and a black eye, I kid you not. Nobody told and nobody got in trouble but my son got a reputation of someone you don’t fool around with and the bully turned into a decent human being.
While this might seem a little extreme, the point is the kid should have taken on the bullies himself or had some friends help him. Crying to everyone about it is just plain cowardice IMO.
Wearing pink shirts will almost certainly make things worse, not better, and will certainly not have any effect on the bullies.
What a bunch of pansies. If me or one of my friends in school had worn pink it was a requirement that the offender was called a homo. And all of us were not bullies. But we did have the sense that the only way to stop a bully is to slug him.

I told my kids to punch back regardless of the stupid rules. Even told that to the Asst. Principal when my daughter got in trouble for fighting back and beating the sam-hell out of a dyke bully. He said he agreed with me and lessened her punishment. Good thing we were both around the same age and both conservative.

If a kid wore pink when I was in school even the pacifist kids would have beat him up.
