All right and good... I think no one here is in disagreement that Obama was babbling a pack of lies, while Jindal was giving a response based on conservative principles.

BUT this speech was supposed to be,

a) a refutation of Obamarat policy to destroy America

b) to introduce Jindal to the national public with obvious glanes towards 2012

He did not deliver. The speech while better on substance than the Obamacrap, since truthful, was badly delivered and marred by undue praising of Obama.

While Jindal is a fine guy, the speech was not.

Just forget it, move on and do better next time. This isn't the end of the world, but we shouldn't try to spin it into a brilliant masterpiece.

The speech was not meant for you or me but to lay the groundwork for Republicans in 2010. Your type of speech would have turned people off and would have been inappropriate to the setting he was in at that moment.

Plenty of time for red meat speeches — last night was not the time although I agree with you that is what I would like to hear.
