So are you going to craft the proposal to the Chinese government that they stop financing the US so that we can bring down an oppressive central government (that’s a pussycat next to theirs, by the way) and restore states’ rights? I’d really like to see how you show them that such is in their interest.

No sir, WE have to straighten out our own nation. I don’t plan it, advocate it or advise it to others, but it isn’t too difficult to foresee that there may be some “occasional” violations of the law (the law, but not the Constitution) along the way in fighting the government’s plans. I think that it’d be easy to justify on a moral level, though that must always be balanced against some of the potential practical consequences of being found out.

The best thing to happen would be to have an awakening of the American spirit. That requires each of us here on FR, and many millions of like-minded individuals, to educate our fellow citizens - including and especially the disproportionately shiite-for-brains people who work on Capitol Hill. Its a long and difficult process, but it must be tried first. But that may not work...and then we’re left with an irresistable force opposing an immovable rock. Such things rarely end with great happiness.

It’s a pretty long book too. And there are 2 more after EFAD.

Yes, we have two and we are on your list for the third one.

The first thing I noticed when I opened EFAD was how long it was. I'm loving it though!

Sorry I will not roll over for you or anyone else when I am called a “pathetic little worm” or an “ass” by you, chump. I will continue to call out those that threw away their votes either voting for Obama, for a losing pony third party or staying home in protest, thus allowing Obama to implement his leftist marxist agenda. They deserve the coming nightmare. Considering your weak kneed jump into the fray to fire a water pistol at me, I will put you in that category too.

Hey, guys, can you stop the pissing contest, please?

I don’t have a dog in your disagreement, though I do have my views (which you’ll not find out right now, because I’m not interested in fighting amongst ourselves). I believe that we simply have to pull together and fight this proposed legislation and any like it, and do so consistently until we prevail in some fashion or another. This argument you’re having helps no one, and it is EXACTLY what the other side wants. Sheesh, I wouldn’t be surprised if the DUmmies are watching this thread and laughing their demented little Commie asses off about it.

I left off the /sarc tag.

My point was that, once again, liberals are moaning about stuff that is ALREADY ILLEGAL. They are morons if they think that taking away my AR-15 is going to stop the flow of HAND GRENADES into Mexico.

“I think closing the gun show loophole, the banning of cop-killer bullets and I also think that making the assault weapons ban permanent, would be something that would be permitted under Heller,”

Damn. I can almost sense those CKB’s being chambered in those AW’s now.

Frankly, the Left is setting itself up to overreach here...as they can’t get a Heller-approved total ban...and the lack of a sunset clause will make any such attempt even less popular.

They are going to ignore Heller, and hope that by the time any challenge to their schemes gets to the Supreme Court, they will have a working majority on the court, and/or that it will not be interpreted as a total ban, after all you could still own non-scoped bolt action rifles...even if all the ammunition for them is banned. You could own .22 rimfires, and the ammo for (most of) them.

At this point, I hardly think it matters how the issue has been litigated and ruled upon. We have bigger issues - the scumbags don’t even want us to be able to buy and sell guns privately, not even single-shots, they want to ban entire classes of weapons permanently (who knows if there will be grandfathering), they want to register all guns, and they want to control/price out of existence/outlaw most common ammunition. Getting 922(o) repealed is a dream; this battle we’re in now is for the sheer survival of our way of life.

So where can you go to by hardened-core bullets with a teflon coating? Nowhere. Because they are illegal.

"Armor piercing ammunition" is defined in federal law as:

"a projectile or projectile core which may be used in a handgun and which is constructed" of various metals harder than lead, or "a full jacketed projectile larger than .22 caliber designed and intended for use in a handgun and whose jacket has a weight of more than 25 percent of the total weight of the projectile." [18 U.S.C. 921(17)(B)]

But the Teflon coating is not illegal, at least at the federal level. YMMV by state and local jurisdiction.

And you are completely free to buy real AP ammunition chambered in rifle calibers.

There is another election coming up before long, folks

Yea, or at least maybe, but:

"I consider it completely unimportant who (in the party) will vote, or how; but what is extraordinarily important is this —- who will count the votes, and how."

And you are completely free to buy real AP ammunition chambered in rifle calibers.

You are also free to buy AP bullets and reload them into new cartridge cases for your own use (so long as it doesn't violate state law). Most people think that this is "manufacturing" AP - its not, because the AP ammo is the bullet itself. Someone else manufactured it, and you cannot manufacture the same thing twice. Just don't try to sell it (because then you fall into the trap of selling a bunch of components that you manufactured into ammo - you'll get charge with manufacturing ammo without a proper license, though not with manufacturing AP ammo).

You have a problem take it up with the moderators. Otherwise....stop wasting bandwith and your time. How long did it take you to write your little ‘can’t we all get along’ essay anyway?

So are you going to craft the proposal to the Chinese government that they stop financing the US so that we can bring down an oppressive central government and restore states’ rights?

No, that's the wrong approach - as you know, they could give a sh!t about us and/or our government. Like all lenders, all they care about is getting their principal back. So what we have to do as a people is educate the Chinese that they are never going to get their money back!

Here's the crux of the issue - the Chinese are a closed society that has been demographically, culturally & politically static for over 2,000 years. They are operating under two alternative assumptions without considering a third:

Alt 1. The USA is comprised of the same people who exterminated its native population, won multiple wars of conquest around the globe, and absolutely decimated the NEXT two leading industrial nations during WWII while killing millions of their citizens:

"These people will restore a sustainable, productive economy and eventually pay us back."

Alt 2. The USA has reached a tipping point where the unproductive looter class now comprise the body politic. They are a spent force and will lay prostrate before another country's military and economic might:

"We may well lose a portion of our principal balance (Ts), but we will end up owning what productive capacity remains."

Alt 3. The reset. The Empire Strikes Back. Call it what you may, but nothing lasts forever - including the US. The Chinese & Japanese have no experience with highly dynamic & fluid Western societies. Up until WWII, did you know there had been a major (and by major, I mean equivalent to WWII in terms of resources, manpower, etc) European conflict every 2 generations? (1914, 1870, 1815, 1762, etc, ...)

We are descendants of warlike tribes whose only constant experience was war. All technology was driven by the need for both offense (conquest) and defense (self-preservation). It's why we originally busted their chops from half-way around the globe back in the days of sail.

They aren't thinking about option #3.

This is what caused the 1993 Gingrich Revolution. These guys are morons.

Not all Morons. Pelosi is waving them off this already for now. But they will try it later AFTER they get more of their sinister agenda passed.
