My suggestion to Secretary of State Clinton? Why don't you scratch the "global climate change crisis" baloney out of your agenda and replace it with something that is far more realistic and important? President Bush used every chance that he had, including his trip to Beijing last August, to pressure Beijing on its human rights policies and so should you. While the effects may not be tangible, our pressure on Beijing regarding human rights does make a difference.

Ecocommunism is just another road toward totalitarianism. It is the new perpetual warfare that Orwell used in 1984 to keep the people subservient, to keep them fearing that their very existence (let alone industrialism and capitalism) has as grave a threat to the world as all out nuclear war.
They're in power now. They don't care about human rights. They care about expanding their power. To focus on environmental issues repeats the mantra that the State needs to save us from ourselves.
Their hypocrisy on China meshes with the administration’s hypocrisy on global warming and greenhouse gases- I’ve read that in his first 32 days in office he’d taken 16 trips in his “corporate” jet, Air Force One, including a flauntingly-wasteful, 150 mile hop to Williamsburg.
