The Democrats took their gloves off years ago. As a matter of fact they've even gone under the ring and pulled out the folding chairs while the Republicans are staggering into the ropes oblivious to the fate that awaits them when they finally clear their heads, rub their eyes and turn around.

By “taking the gloves off”, I would like to see GOP legislators disregard the sure application of the label and become rabid obstructionists to anything designed to reconceive America, which is just about everything the treacherous Democrats have or will come up with. They just might save the country and become heroic in the process. In the Senate especially, they need to lose the maddening, nauseating air of faux-comaraderie and address the enemy with the total disdain they deserve. At least DeMint doesn’t preface every allusion to a Dem with “My good friend...”, such as in “My good friend Chuck Schumer” or “My good friend Senator Boxer”.
