While I agree it wasn’t smart of him to make a threat, there may be extenuating circumstances. Perhaps the Marine is suffering from post traumatic stress, or maybe he lost his house, or maybe he is pissed that he isn’t going to get a raise while deadbeats are going to get their mortgages paid.
Or maybe he's just not thrilled with calling a black guy "Sir". See reply 12.
