Prohibition and gangs go well together, you would have thought the government would have realized that right about the time they actually had to repeal an amendment to the Constitution to rectify the problem.

By definition; there is no basis for a black market where nothing has been prohibited. It's like any other political question though. If you ask the government to control something you are essentially saying "I'm not capable of/willing to deal with this." Which is a surrender of a little liberty.

It is an awful lot like the whiny attitude of anti-gunners to admit that you can't deal with a pot head. Not too balanced when you think about it and I'm certainly not one who is going to disarm myself just because that makes somebody uncomfortable.
