The Univ have also brainwashed a couple of generatons (since the 1960s at least) that America is the worst country on the planet and we have to make amends for our sins - starting with our excessive use of the planet's resources. Of course that is pure crapola since America also used those resources to produce the most magnificent bounty of products the planet ever saw. Leftists are, at their core, superiorists who love to tell everyone else how to live. Collectivism and communism are appealing to them, especially so for the pompous, pontificating professorial set. They think they have all the answers to society's ills with their utopian ideals. However, as we all know, they live and work in a very insular world that is a far cry from real life.
