Will Larry Kudlow run for senate against Chris Dodd? From Steve Moore: In an interview yesterday, Mr. Kudlow confirmed to me that he did sit down for dinner with Senate Republican Campaign Committee Chairman John Cornyn to hear him out on the idea.
Republicans in Washington think they may have found their man to pick up a Senate seat in Connecticut in 2010: Larry Kudlow, the former Reagan budget advisor, Wall Street economist and now CNBC TV news anchor. The Internet is abuzz with the chatter of a Kudlow for Senate boomlet, which has even hit the Drudge Report.
That's because their RATs and their "base" doesn't care (in fact, sleazy behavior just makes RATs MORE popular with their "base") and the liberal media treats them with kid gloves. Republicans can't expect the same treatment. What RATs skate away from, Republicans get crusified for. Just compare what happened to Congressmen Gerry Studds (D) and Dan Crane (R)'s political careers after they were both caught having affairs with underage staffers in the 1980s.
