The chairman of the Republican National Committee has shot down hopes by minority homosexual groups that the party will open its "big tent" to endorse "civil unions" or homosexual marriage.

"What would we do that for? What are you, crazy? No." Michael Steele told radio talk show host Mike Gallagher.

Good job Steele, and nice answer. Maybe it’s about time that gays showed some tolerance and supported traditional marriage. What right do they have to redefine our culture?

What would we do that for? What are you, crazy? No.

It's not the general negative that's good, it's the answer. It's a good answer.

Good. Homosexuality should be recognized only for what it is. Two “friends” committing acts of perversion in private.

What would we do that for? What are you, crazy?

I love it!

Apply that to every one of zero's proposals...

Higher taxes? What would we do that for? What are you, crazy?

Socialized healthcare? What would we do that for? What are you, crazy?

Cap and trade? What would we do that for? What are you, crazy?

Trillion dollar budgets? What would we do that for? What are you, crazy?

LOL!

As Steele said: “This is a foundational principle of organized society.”

Principles!! ;-)

"'Not just civil unions'. It must be gay marriage like I forced, singlehandedly
upon the captive little people of Massachusetts, just like RomneyCARE.
Any criticism of me or this, will not be tolerated."

Not gonna happen.
In fact - they’ve got the victimhood thing down pat.
Anyone who does not support gay “marriage” is, in their eyes, just the same as anyone who thinks women shouldn’t vote or blacks should sit at the back of the bus.

The wailing and howling is about to begin.
Gird your loins Mr. Steele!

“Forced”? “Singlehandedly”?

C’mon. Everyone knows the Mass supreme court legalized gay marriage.

Your welcome to your opinion, but not your own facts. You may well argue that Romney didn’t do enough to void the actions of the court...AND the legislature....but you can’t say he did it “singlehandedly”.

If the purpose of civil unions is to confer most of the benefits of marriage, while preserving marriage for a man and a woman, then I don’t see how they can limit civil unions to gays.

Why not allow civil unions for widow sisters who look out after each other?

Why not a group of three anything who want to make a civil union pack and mutually commit to care for each other?

As long as legal enforceability comes with the package and they leave marriage alone, I have no problem with it.

For such a time as this, Conservatives ought to adopt Michael, God’s Archangel, as their symbol. Even though it seems Satan is calling the shots in this evil world, we know that Jesus has won the ultimate victory over Evil. As St. Paul reminds Christians in Romans 8:35-39: “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written, ‘For Your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.’ No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
