Rep. Tom Price (R-GA) issued the following statement after introducing the Secret Ballot Protection Act. The bill, authored by Rep. John Kline (R-MN), Rep. Buck McKeon (R-CA), and Rep. Price, guarantees the right to a secret ballot to workers deciding whether to unionize. “The secret ballot is a pillar of American democracy,” said Rep. Price. “Unfortunately, congressional Democrats have said they are willing to throw the secret ballot aside in order to advance a political agenda and expand the influence of Big Labor in the workplace. Forcing a worker’s decision to be made public would open the door for coercive and intimidating tactics – from both union and employer.

I was surprised to hear a radio ad with GEORGE MCGOVERN supporting the secret ballot!
And there's a related thread, "DeMint, Enzi Introduce Secret Ballot Protection Act" about the Senate version of this bill, introduced by Senator DeMint and Senator Enzi.

Never thought I’d see the day when McGovern was on the right side.
McGovern is an old time Dem...in many ways like Hubert Humphrey. Liberal yes; anti-American, no.
Those who support public ballots are just paying their union dues (payback for big labor endor$ement$).
Glad to hear of a Republican representative with some grit!
Absolutely! The idea that union thugs could intimidate employees, in person, into signing a union card should be easy to formulate...even for LibTards.
Card Check is but another way for the DhimmiRats to repay the years of union support, spiritual and financial. And, the unions need the help, it appears.
Never give up your right to a secret ballot.
Me too.
He was even doing these same ads on tv before the election. I had to pinch myself.
BTTT
I think many of the old Democrats would be too conservative for today's Republican party.
The fact we have to pinch ourselves already tells us it’s over. I can’t imagine ANYONE, liberal or otherwise, in the past 50 years who would support an open ballot. It says alot about where we are as a society that this is even being debated, along with the Fairness Doctrine...If it’s being debated, in my opinion, we’ve already lost. Everything liberals wind up achieving starts like this....they’re nothing if not patient.
You’re right.
