Thanks for going and writing this insightful AAR. There is much more to do to prevent our great Nation from becoming a Third Class nation.
I’m glad though about the numbers on short notice. From what I’ve read, most Tea Parties had about the same numbers but then again, D.C.’s overall population isn’t exactly the Heartland, where people care about what is happening.

We arrived 45 minutes early and saw only the organizers and a table, so we sat in the car for a while (keeping warm; temps in low 30s). When we went back later, there were hundreds of people in the steps and along Lenore K Sullivan Drive (along the levi of the Mississippi River).
The event was organized by Dana Loesch, a radio host on 97.1-FM, and a blogger named Bill Hennessy. They told KMOX they expected about 50 people "and there were 20 times that many." They indicated that "we will do this again" - perhaps April 15 and July 4. It was a great turnout and a great rally!
Google "Tea Party at the Arch," 97.1-FM, KMOX, Fox 2 News, "Betsy Bruce" (TV reporter at the event), or KMOV-TV. All carried reports on the event. (Betsy Bruce's report was pretty good - showed the crowds on the steps, interviewed a couple people, and showed people dumping tea into the river.) It was fantastic!
