I believe, and have always believed that Liberals will tell you exactly what they think and what they plan to do.

All you have to do is listen. Sometimes it takes a while, and you have to be patient. But like a moon hidden behind clouds, every once in a while there is a break in those clouds and you see it clearly.

It isn’t easy for them to keep their guard up all the time. It is why conspiracies are the fallback for the weak minded...you have to be on all the time, and even the most dedicated leftist is, in the end, human. They get tired, distracted or, occasionally bold and then they lose focus. Then, if you have been listening, you get comments like “...I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody...” that just pop right out.

Often, in Orwellian fashion, all references to it are minimized or expunged from the news that is disseminated to the consumers of that news. There is no conspiracy there, only the simple fact that most of the media have the same outlook and the same goals. They don’t need a fax from the DNC to seemingly act in concert with each other. I love it when someone like Rush Limbaugh points that out, and uses as evidence (or a prop) recordings demonstrating all the news outlets using the exact same verbiage, especially when they use a word like “gravitas” that normal people just wouldn’t generally use but they all use it at the same time in the same way.

In any case, it was clear from day one who Obama was and what he stood for. I remember reading from the first public whiffs of B.O.’s presidential aspirations that he was a “Community Organizer”, and I knew exactly what that meant.

Workers of the World Unite.

Thank you for posting this excerpt, since I can avoid soiling my browser clicking on the link to read the rest. What stands out to me is the way this liberal writer views the way conservatives point out the truth. Just in this short excerpt, there were these:

"...they at least seem to have settled on a favorite rhetorical ogre: socialism..."
(a rhetorical ogre. Liberals hate it when you tell the truth about them. It really sets them off)

"...It seems that “socialist” has supplanted “liberal” as the go-to slur among much of a conservative world ..."
(Well. I guess it was time to find a new trial for liberals to say they have been persecuted under. McCarthyism is so old that most Americans don't even know it had to do with communists in the government. So Liberals have to find themselves a new McCarthyism.)

"...The S-bomb has become as surefire a red-meat line at conservative gatherings..."
(The S-bomb. Liberals hate language, especially descriptive language that actually means something. They think that if they transform a word or phrase then that changes the underlying truth about it. Case in point, their gradual replacement of the word "Gay" for "Homosexual". They call "Discrimination" "Affirmative Action". They refuse to define themselves as "Liberal", but instead use "Progressive". And instead of calling "Abortion" what it is, they call it "Choice". And one more thing: Red Meat. Why always "Red Meat"? Perhaps it is what is usually fed to the "Primitives" which is how the snobby liberals used to refer to conservatives before the public schools became so dumbed down by liberal policies the the graduates entering the electorate couldn't understand the intended insult, and it fell out of vogue.)

"...a kind of Woodstock for young conservatives...."
(Good God. If that isn't projection, I don't know what is. At least he didn't say it was a "Mecca". Wouldn't want to sully that special place by implying conservatives might have one too. In any case, I don't think you will see a lot of young conservatives there wandering around naked in the rain, covered with mud trying to figure out where they left their last brain cell that wasn't saturated with LSD)

"...Socialism is something new for us to hit Obama over the head with..."
("us" to hit him over the head with? What, does this guy have a rock in his pocket? Instead of a cudgel "we" hit him with, perhaps socialism should instead be described as a rope that he can hang himself with. That wouldn't be a problem, but our entire country is going to hang along with him if he succeeds.

I am reminded of this masterful Eric Allie cartoon (In my opinion, the BEST political cartoonist alive today, liberal OR conservative.) This applies to Obama just as much as Chavez:
