The issue of doctor’s conscience moves our abortion policy to a whole new level of evil. It is one thing to say that the issue of whether abortion is right or wrong is ‘above our pay grade’, and implement a policy of ‘choice’, where women and willing doctors can opt to participate without public interference. It is a worse thing to use the coffers of the nation to subsidize abortion, as happened under Carter, Clinton and now Obama. It takes things to a whole new level of evil now that the Federal government is apparently going to force doctors to perform abortion against their conscience. This needs to be a big deal.
On a secondary note, this Townhall piece is one of the most annoyingly poorly written pieces I’ve read in an awful long time. The writer starts out with a meandering rant about Hitler and Rachel Maddow, and doesn’t even mention the abortion issue until the 9th paragraph. Even then, he never really explains the details of the Obama administration policy anywhere in the article.
Ditto! Not to mention the fact that all writers everywhere have suddenly, after 8 long years, found the word "president" and choose to insert it before the fraud's name as many times as possible is a single paragraph.
First, Obama will force doctors and nurses to participate in abortions. This is to weed out anyone ethical. Later under Obama’s socialized medicine scheme, when euthanizing the elderly, the retarded, the mentally ill, and dissidents becomes mandatory, the “doctors” will be obedient drones “just following orders.”
