Obama is a standard-issue communist. It appears that no one under the age of 45 has studied communism in school.
Obama is not a Hitler - not even close. He's a Marxist who obviously believes in dialectical materialism, heightening the contradictions, the iron laws of history, and all that other Leninist crap.
His policies (or tendencies, they really don't make the grade as fully-formed policies) can best be understood in terms of the Leninist maxim, "the worse, the better".
He's indifferent to the outcomes of the things he does, because all of them (in the communist mentality) just hasten the Revolution.
Leave Hitler out of it.
Maybe so. But, we have to start somewhere. Calling him Stalin would be like bestowing a badge of honor on him.

Jim, I’m over 45 (a lot), have studied communism, and agree with you. But only up to a point. He is definitely a communist as he or William Ayres understands communism.
However, like Hitler, he came into office with the support of a significant share of very wealthy backers. George Soros comes to mind immediately, and there were a lot of “industrialists” and Wall Streeters, though some of the Street crowd may have bailed on him. Plus he has been surrounded by gangster thugs of the Chicago machine.
He sure looks a lot like a national socialist to me, as much as a Lenin-type communist. I would also agree, though, that the country he is shaping will look and behave like the Gulag Archipelago.
Because of the monied backers and the gangsters, I think the Hitler comparison is not inapt. Even Senator Byrd can see the danger of the SA and SS taking shape with all the super-cabinet positions the O is creating. Funny how Ernst Roehm and Rahm Emanuel have nearly the same sound. Interchangeable, almost.

True. Not really. But some of us were just lucky enough to be raised by people who love the Constitution (never mind the “US”) and hated communists - and hippies that popularized it.
HE is a Marxist, and is using “the worse the better” but is also a lot like Hitler in his rock star presentation and the public response.
Sorry Noble, a friend of mine read the Obama’s last book, he said it was a moderne Mein Kampf. Intrigued, I read it. He was right. Obama wants to use FORCE to create what he believes is the perfect America. It is Hitleresque. Godwin’s Law related to internet posters in civil debate. This useage relates to actual policy changes that MIRROR those of the Nazi regime.
You may want to read “The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich” by William Shirer. Once Hitler was elected as Chancellor of Germany, he “eliminated” all of his critics and political enemies. Anyone that questioned his judgement and motives was taken out. The primary diffeerence between Facism and Communism is that a Facist government will allow private ownership of property under direct control of the state. I believe 0bama is more of a Facist than anything else.
