If Obama's* oratory was matched with economic wisdom leavened with a sound knowledge of economic history American would have nothing to worry about. Unfortunately Obama is a profoundly ignorant man who shares the statist's contempt for economics, an attitude that will have fearful consequences for the US economy.

No individual, No State, No Country has ever prospered by spending for consumption with borrowed money. Yet that is exactly what Barack Obama is doing. And his predecessor, G.W. Bush did the same doggone thing, just on a smaller scale.

Somewhere out there is another RR who will unite us. Then in another 20 years or so we will have to do this again. The Tax and spend crowd will always be with us and they blame tax cuts on everything. They will never admit their plan will never work.
What we have now is a massive tax, spend, borrow plan that anybody with half a brain knows will not work.
