In the March 9, 2009 issue of Newsweek (on newsstands Monday, March 2), "Radical Islam is A Fact of Life. How To Live With it" Fareed Zakaria makes the case for why the West needs to adopt a more sophisticated strategy toward Radical Islam. Plus: Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu and Avigdor Lieberman discuss the country's future in their first foreign media interview since winning in the recent election. Lastly: A review of the latest comic book inspired movie, "Watchmen."

The cover of the rag is in Arabic, too.
The fact that he used the word "toward", rather than the word "against" is telling.
Clearly, they are run by surrender monkeys.
God, they are trying to lose what readers they have left, aren’t they?

Sorry, I’m not buying it. I no longer keep birds as pets and have no real practical use for it.
A more sophisticated strategy === tactical mini-nukes.
The attitude is, they're going to do it (Fill in this word) so we may as well (Educate/Negotiate/Accept/Support/Change our own behaviors and beliefs) with them or towards them.
Hard to build any Society or Culture on such quicksand.
I’m not going to lose my head over the cover.....
Purge or be Purged
How to live with it: Convert or die like it was when it first started.
that is unless the “Fill in this word” is conservatism.

Newsweek Plans Makeover to Fit a Smaller Audience
Can we get this partisan trash out of our school libraries and public libraries? Why do taxpayers by thousands of copies for public institutions every week?
Yikes!
So Obama is on the cover again. What a shock!

Newsweak doesn't even want to live with passive Christianity (if people publicly ID themselves as Christians in celebration).

Another beheading-slaughter of American women simply ignored by NOW, Newsweek, and the LSM (Left Stream Media).
"The Muslim community (and Mainstream Media) knew of Hassan's abuse (and did NOTHING)"
Maybe evidence of nascent standards? /sarc

Once upon a time, a long time ago, Newsweek was my favorite of the weekly news magazines. Now I wouldn’t use it for TP
It makes me also wonder why Fox hasn’t touched that beheading or any of the other horrific honor killings in the US and Canada, (way too many in Europe, anyway).
One can understand the CNN/MSNBC crowd, but why has Fox turned tail?
Wonder why Greta or Nancy Grace haven't gotten on it with their usual 24/7 mode of repetitive reporting. Oh wait, their coverage only extends to loss of cute, white children who have nut-case mothers or Trailer trash White relatives. Sorry.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious.
But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly.
But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself.
For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men.
He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist.
A murderer is less to be feared."
-- Marcus Tullius Cicero
We need to declare Islam a terrorist group and give true believers 3-days to leave the country.
Yep. A deceiver leads the nation of lemmings over the cliff.
He made it clear that we have no right or place being number one in this world. We have to scale back. Not because we are denying others the good life, we just have it too good ourselves.
The New Left has always loathed the American way. The American Dream died last election.
Welcome to the postmodern USSA.
As far as guns are concerned, they'll often pay you to turn them in as opposed to outright arrest for possession - Again, a nicely packaged set of choices/negotiations.
/mega sarc
>>24/7 mode of repetitive reporting.
Really don’t care for that saturation coverage of what are often tawdry, sleazy and criminally savage cases, but if that’s what you want, then the Houston killings fit the bill.
Two American girls killed (dunno if they were beheaded), one had to be alive to witness the other’s death, American mom, Egyptian father....the murderer.....and deathly silence apart from JihadWatch.
Talk about tailor made for TruTv or Nancy “facelifted whackjob with oh so Little” Grace.
Bet Newsweak, oops- Newspeak, oops - Newsweek has an editorial in support of Obama’s sending $900,000,000 to the flagship terrorist group in Gaza — Hamas!
Nothing like knowing how he intends to double our foreign aid committment.
Fareed Zakaria and his constant anti-Americanism are the main reasons I dropped my sub to Newsweak. Time is now less anti-American than Newsweek.
Don’t like or watch the ‘Saturation/Sensationalized’ 24/7 coverage either.
Rape and murder are facts of life, too. Should we just ‘get used’ to them, too, and not bother to try and stop it?
0be’s a fact of life too.
The only policy that will save future Americans from
this absolutley evil religion.
Spot on. This headline could have been written 25 years ago by Newsweek, just change "Radical Islam" to "Soviet style socialism" and you have Newsweek's official position on US Soviet relations: you can't beat them so give concessions and hope for the best. I prefer what we did: challenge them and beat them.
GO F*CK YOURSELF NEWSWEEK, YOU LIVE WITH IT...I’m going to live free...You enjoy your life in a shelter with the rest of the sheeple you admire...
GRRRR
THEY are protected. THEY care about nothing but themselves.
Well, in the 1930’s we had people writing that fascism was a fact of life.
In the 1950’s, we had people writing that communism was a fact of life.
So what’s new? People will always try to rationalize evil institutions.
If I wanted to surrender what I believe in, my ethics, and my sense of right and wrong, I wouldn’t buy a copy of Newsweek to tell me how to do it. I could do it for nothing.
You said it!
When the time comes, .30-06 is how I’ll live with it.
The fact that he used the word "toward", rather than the word "against" is telling.
There is nothing more sophisticated than a coordinated land, air, and sea attack.
Islam delenda est.
“Radical Islam is A Fact of Life. How To Live With it”
shouldn’t it read...”...how to die with it” ?
