Let’s not shoot our own soldiers. Steele admits he made a mistake-— give him the benefit unless or until he shows that weakness again. Rush is a teacher and hopefully a valuable lesson was learned. Let’s not trash Steele too badly for an admitteed screw up.

You have to question his sensibility on this mess. What in the world was Steele catering to?

I agree... at least, Steele had the good sense to not let the sun set on his mistake.

Rush Limbaugh bores me at times... I KNOW what he will say, before he ever says it..

But, God Bless him... he was ON FIRE this weekend. RUSH is the last person left on earth that seems willing, and able to articulate a Conservative phiolsophy.

Let’s not shoot our own soldiers

You need to direct that to Steele, not the Freepers.

The problem with giving Steele the benefit of the doubt in this case is the manner of the transgression. He sought to ingratiate himself to the liberals by attacking a conservative.

This is a very bad sign. It betrays a lack of conservative principals common among Republican "moderates" who like to go along to get along e.g.: Dole, McCain, etc. The kind who are actually embarrassed by Reagan conservatives and so stab them in the back when they can.

Screw that. We’re in a war. If you don’t realize that then you are part of the problem.

Steele must step down, today, now.

We cannot afford to have an ineffectual leader for a nanosecond.
