That, and Americans get tired of being berated as the authors of all of the world's ills. There's never anything positive about us, or uplifting, or encouraging. If we want to listen to that, we can just call our ex's, and get the personalized version.
I’ve heard 30 second snatches of their commentary, before I could get the radio tuned properly, and they say brilliant things like “This is the end of capitalism, no doubt about it” with joy in their tone. Who wants to hear that?
Reminds me of their constant apologia for communism. "We didn't try it right, it needs another chance, it was never really run properly."
I suppose it's too much to hope for that Randi Roach was inside at the time...
When the house and senate were running their own dining rooms for their own members and staff, they couldn't even break even or meet payroll on a regular basis, having to vote "emergency funds" to make up the difference.
Many years ago, I remember seeing a "60 Minutes" episode where an expose was done on how the government had taken over the "Mustang Ranch," a legal brothel in NV. The owner had been convicted of a number of crimes, and the brothel was taken over by the government. It didn't last very long. They managed to run the brothel in such a way that it was losing money.
To put it bluntly, the government couldn't even make a profit in the world's oldest profession, selling sex.
These are the goons who are going to save the economy...

This is a part of the hubris and psychosis that one needs to be a leftist. They're "True Believers." It's not the policies or philosophy that's wrong, it's just that the people who have tried to implement those policies just weren't the right people. Interestingly enough, it's always the current crop of leftists who are the "right people" who will "finally make it all work."

Randi Rhodes used to have a 3-hour time slot on WJNO 1290 in West Palm Beach after Rush’s show. Now she’s gone, and Sean Hannity is in that time slot.
IIRC Palm Beach was supposed to be where she started and most libs inferred that at worst she would always be on the air at least from that station.
She was pretty popular with all the progressive bed-wetters in Palm Beach County. I accidentally stopped by WJNO a week or so ago, expecting to have my teeth set on edge by a fellow former airman (Randi was in the USAF), and imagine my joy when I stumbled on to Sean.
Don't let 'em force subprime radio on our Republic.
