GE seeks government partnership in new economy (Glenn Beck nailed it!)

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- General Electric Co. is reading the tea leaves of the troubled global economy and has found a new partner to help it weather the storm: government. In the new economy, the interaction between government and business will be changed forever, with government as a stronger regulator, an industry policy champion, a financier and key partner, GE (GE 7.01, -0.59, -7.8%) Chief Executive Jeff Immelt wrote in a letter to shareholders, published late Monday.

...Another driver is infrastructure work tied to Obama's stimulus package, which seeks to rebuild highways, water systems, electrical grids and make government buildings more energy-efficient.

"Governments will invest to stimulate their economies, solve societal problems and create jobs. GE's broad portfolio and expertise position us as a natural partner," Immelt said

As Glenn's been saying, you have the Obama cheerleaders at MSNBC who got him elected, the massive conglomerate "partner" to help execute the new policies of "Change" (and profit from it), and again the NBC/MSNBC cheerleaders with on-going "green" propaganda.

1930s Germany anyone??

More like 1923 Italy. Obama is more like Mussolini than Hitler. But it IS fascism!

This is what is going to happen, as I noted in BlogTalkRadio yesterday afternoon, if “The Bezzle” is not removed from our system NOW.

Take a look at that folks. That’s a snapshot of today’s volume for June GE $2.50 PUTs.

That’s over 52,000 contracts traded today, controlling 5.2 million shares.

They were purchased for about 30 cents, which means that the price has to be under $2.20 for them to go “in the money”.

This is a bankruptcy bet on General Electric by the third week of June.

That’s right - General Electric.

I would bet there are dozens of corporate bean counters trying to cook books to make themselves look much worse than they really are, just to get government bailout money.

This is why I don’t allow ANY GE products in my home. If it’s a choice of a GE only product I do without until I find a brand I will support.

Naturally with the govt having a stake in GE it will pass laws that protect GE from competition. We all know where this goes. They do to. Why do they insist on following a doomed course for themselves and all of us?

Because it’s not a doomed course if you’re in the elite group of Kommissars making and enforcing the rules.

I picture all government and GE offices looking, and functioning, like the offices in the movie “Brazil!”

Is there anyone more slimy than this guy?

Immelt was a very bad choice to lead GE. I never did like him.

HOW MUCH IS THIS GOING TO COST? (If they don’t pay for it with tax money, then they’re going to have to borrow it-debase the dollar) so we’ll be paying for it either way. I WOULD LIKE TO DECLARE INDEPENDENCE FROM THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, and THEIR FEDERAL RESERVE NOTES (Start using a private issued currency backed by Gold): Who’s with me?
